Seeking dream CMS

It's a case of the Mondays. In the office, looking at software and wanting to run in fear. Our CMS is in a desperate need of upgrading.

When building my blogs I quickly discovered that even on my home server I am a couple generations behind everyone else with technology. Part of me thinks this is just fine, but the marketing half of me says I need to do something better.

A CMS demo on my servers would be great. Drupal sounds fun and a few guys I know at Bryght have a great hosted environment for users. Most marketing people are fixated on WordPress. Both rely heavily on PHP & MySQL for processing which turns me off a bit. Why? Well, truth be known: my computers are made of recycled parts. They're just plain slow.

For now I'm sticking with a combination of Nanoblogger and Blosxom for my site needs. They are both rather minimalist but until I have some staff to maintain all this computing power the middle of the road is as good as it's gonna get.
